Nature, forest wildlife and wilderness tour in Iława-Poland region.
3 days tour with english speaking guide. Small groups. Up to 5 person. Iława region. Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland.
We start at morning from Iława. It is best to arrive arrive day before and sleep well.
15 km. walk through forest. Night under tent* (no electric current or drinking water here, radio forbidden). Watching stars (or clouds). Listening to forest sounds in the night. Take your food and drinks with you. We can help you with shopping before.
11 km through forest. Visit at Clear Lake Nature Reserve - wildlife refuge in Poland.
Night under tent** Shop with food and local restaurants available nearby.
10 km. walk through forest and we are back in Iława.
For sure you will see lot of plants and hear many birds. As for other animals – we need a bit of chance. But if you agree to wake up in the morning and walk a bit with a guide in surroundings, chances are better. We can walk also late evening. If you wish to see wolf in Poland or moose or deer they live in our forests. But it is not everyday experience to meet them or hear their voices.

If there is heavy rain you can stay in starting point and we pick up and move to next point at evening with a car. But even if it rain there are breaks and walk is still a great pleasure.

If you wish you can order private tour with a guide. So we can walk through less crowded paths. Stay a few hours in hunting stands. Explore less or more area. Walk more at nights. Cost is 220EUR per day. Plus accommodation/food (approx 70EUR/day) and car travel costs, if any. All options to discuss. Just write us what you need.
About area where we will walk:
Iława Lake District Landscape Park or Iława Lakeland Scenic Park which includes Jeziorak lake and the Ilawa Forests. It covers the area of 250.45 square kilometers (96.70 sq mi). Within the Landscape Park are three nature reserves. We have many other lakes here. That is why you can meet here many animals.
The forest fauna in the Iława & Susz Forest Districts is very rich. Large mammals are represented by elks, deers, fallow deer, roe deer and wild boars. In Iława district is estimated that there are about 50 elks, about 1000 deers, fallow deers about 150, roe deers about 3300, and wild boars about 1000 pcs. In Susz – similar quantites. Elks appear periodically. You can meet otter, beaver, and more often wolf.
Small animals living in our forest district are foxes, hares, pheasants, partridges, badgers, martens and others.
Lakes are rich in diverse species of fish such as: tench, catfish, zander, white amur, pike, eel, crucian, bream, roach, carp.
Birds that you can meet here: ducks, coot, bittern, grebes, little bittern, reed-warbler and marsh-harrier.
Some of islands is on Jeziorak lake are home to cormorants and herons. The Jeziorak lake region and surroundings are a refuge to the golden eagle, osprey and other indigenous birds.
The marshy Jeziorak shores are habitats to numerous amphibious species (frogs, toads of the family Discoglossidae, and newts)
